GCSE English Language Revision Postcard 23: Punctuation Revision

Just a little semi-colon task. The writing section (section B) of the AQA language paper that will be run for the last time on June 7th allocates marks based on the degree to which students use a variety of punctuation or not. Something they struggle with can be semi-colon or colon use. If they can manage to demonstrate the ability to use them at least once or twice in a controlled way then they get credit for that. Hence this type of task.

Of course, in the task, having written two related sentences and joined them with a semi-colon, they should make sure they drop the capital letter to lower case in what was the second sentence.

Happy revising.
